An investigation tonight over the handling of wastewater created from neutralizing deadly V-X nerve agent.

The V-X is stored at the Newport Chemical Depot just 25 miles north of Terre Haute.

The Army wants to destroy the nerve agent and then transport the leftover wastewater to the DuPont treatment plant in New Jersey.

DuPont was running tests to see if it could safely treat the wastewater.  Now, DuPont says it put sample treatments of the wastewater into the Delaware River without telling regulators.

Environmental regulators are now investigating the incident.
