Workers weren't exposed to toxin at Tooele chemical arms facility

Eight workers at the Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility have been medically cleared this week after tests indicated they were not exposed to chemical agent.

On Nov. 1, the employees underwent medical evaluations and
work was suspended after the discovery of a contaminated breathing air supply line used by the workers   in the plant's toxic areas. EG&G Defense Materials, Inc., the plant's private contractor, will implement additional safety   procedures, said installation officials.

Entries into toxic areas resumed Thursday and all plant systems are preparing to
re-start deadly VX spray tank destruction operations as early as this weekend.
