Mustard agent vapor leaking from
a 55 mm projectile was detected Tuesday in a storage igloo at the Deseret
Chemical Depot in Tooele County. Depot workers in protective clothing placed
the munition in a larger airtight container for continued storage. The earth-covered
storage structure is filtered and no vapor escaped into the environment,
said depot spokeswoman Alaine Southworth. |
