ANNISTON, Ala. -- The weapons incineration effort
is now back on track after an emergency alarm Friday morning, NBC13 reported.Anniston
army incinerator officials said employees were doing routine maintenance
on a filter when the alarm sounded.Employees underwent a medical evaluation,
which showed no one was exposed to nerve gas, NBC13 reported.
Incineration resumed around 4 p.m. Friday.Alarms have occasionally sounded
at the site since it began destroying weapons several months ago. The Army
is destroying thousands of tons of Cold War-era chemical weaponsThe plan
