Pine Bluff  - The Pine Bluff Arsenal's incineration project has a new commander. Lieutenant Colonel Casey P. Scott has officially taken over for Lieutenant Colonel James M. Bayha. Bayha retired after ten years of arsenal service and about two years as commander of the arsenal's program to destroy its stored chemical weapons.

The arsenal has 12 percent of the nation's chemical weapons stockpile and began incineration in March. Scott is a native of Madison, Wisconsin. He received his Army commission in 1987 and is coming from McChord Air Force Base in Washington state. Scott said he will do everything to ensure safety as the incineration continues.
