Russia building environmental system for chemical disarmament

MOSCOW. Nov 10 (Interfax) - Russia is working to fulfil the environmental requirements for chemical disarmament and is creating state and regional systems of environmental control and monitoring, said Federal Industry Agency deputy head Viktor Kholstov.

An environmental monitoring sub-system has been created at the chemical weapons disposal facility in Gorny in the Saratov region, Kholstov told a conference on Russia's observance of the Chemical Weapons Convention in Moscow.
