Update: Leaker detected

HERMISTON - A depot chemical agent monitoring crew detected a trace amount of sarin chemical agent vapor Friday morning inside a depot storage structure storing over-packed weapons and ton containers.

Most weapons in the storage igloo have leaked before and are over packed in larger containers for additional protection.

An air-filtering device is on the igloo to ensure vapor is not released into the atmosphere. Depot crews will take additional readings this weekend. Depot chemical operations crews will work Monday to isolate the source of the vapor.
