| Tooele facility starts
limited processing STOCKTON — The Tooele Chemical Agent Disposal Facility resumed limited furnace processing last week to resolve analytical data inconsistencies from equipment that backs up the real-time agent monitors in the pollution abatement system. Monitoring technicians have implemented corrective actions to resolve moisture problems in several of the Depot Area Monitoring System stations used to confirm electronic real time Automatic Continuous Air Monitor Systems. Cold weather at the site, as well as warm humid exhaust gas from the furnaces may have contributed to the inconsistent monitoring data. The facility will continue limited furnace processing until technicians can verify the correction actions have resolved the inconsistent monitoring data. |
