Star Staff Writer
| Abrams was the spokesman for the program from 1995 through last November, when he left to take a spokesman’s position with an Army program in Huntsville. Abrams said he returned for personal and professional reasons. “I have a lot of emotional and professional investment in this program,” he said. “And I miss that. But most importantly, I did not like being a 99-mile husband and father.” The Army had not appointed a replacement for Abrams after his departure, though Donovan Mager, a spokesman for the Washington Group, had taken on some of the duties. Mager will be leaving for a position in Boise, Idaho.
