Newport, July 16 -AP-- Some New Jersey and Delaware residents are fighting a plan to ship the byproduct from the destruction of a nerve agent in Indiana to a New Jersey chemical plant.
The Army plans to chemically neutralize the deadly VX agent at the Newport Chemical Depot and then send it to a plant along the Delaware River.
Once they treat the waste at the plant they'd dump what's left in the river.
New Jersey Congressman Robert Andrews says he wants to stop the plan.
