ANNISTON, Ala. It's happened again -- two 55 gallon drums have been found with ties to the Anniston Army Depot.

According to Mike Abrams, spokesman with the Chemical Weapons Incinerator, the drums were found along the banks of Snow Creek in Oxford yesterday morning around 10 a-m.The drums are identical to ones discovered in the Munford area last October and were used to hold an absorbent substance used during a pre-burn phase at the incinerator.

Officials are at a loss to explain how the drums ended up thrown in the creek. Before last year's incident, the Depot did offer the drums for sale at a metal recycling facility. That policy was changed.

Abrams said the substance originally in the drums posed no threat to the community.
